In the cartoon on the left, we see that strong, independent women have to give up pampering to remain strong and independent. And its implied women deserve this strong, independent and harsh life they wanted so badly. The hypocrites shouldn't even wish to be pampered!
The strong independent man on the right, however, he deserves pampering. And a man used to be able to demand being pampered like a child back in the good ole days. His strength and independence wasn't and isn't reduced by the demand to be pampered.
True yesterday and true today: A man's strength and independence is not compromised by requesting pampering.
True yesterday and true today: A lot of men and women still hate women who seek their own strength and independence, and hate these strong women enough to think it's laughable that they should ever want to be pampered.
