WOMEN'S ROLES IN HOLLYWOOD Viola Davis & Taraji P Henson

Viola Davis
She is unbelievably honest and forthright about being the first black woman, dark-skinned, 49, not a size 2. She's completely honest about her insecurity and more importantly, she understands what she's giving to a neglected audience.

Taraji P Henson
Her first response to "Cookie Lyons" and the script of "Empire" was  "Hip-Hop Ewwww" But then she kept reading.

THE ENTIRE ROUND TABLE CONVERSATION IS BELOW

"Today's...conversation features the dramatic actresses, including Viola Davis (How To Get Away With Murder), Taraji P. Henson(Empire), Lizzy Caplan ("Masters of Sex"), Maggie Gyllenhaal ("The Honorable Woman"), Jessica Lange ("American Horror Story: Freak Show"), and Ruth Wilson ("The Affair," "Luther").*
In the "raw, uncensored" conversation, the actresses speak candidly about everything from race, sexism and aging in Hollywood, to nudity and typecasting.

*For some reason the Hollywood Reporter did not list the projects Viola Davis and Taraji P Henson were in like the other actresses. It could be because they are SOOO HOT right now the introduction isn't necessary. But that felt a lot like--ugh we added black people last minute, who cares....as usual.
