If you love your children set their minds loose in the fullness of black history. Make sure your children, girls and boys, both are reading real life stories of black and brown women over the course of their childhood into adulthood. Make sure they know their black and brown herstory, recent and distant past. We, as women of color, have a heroic past that we know very little about. Our female ancestors present us with our own perspectives on the black history that we THINK we already know.
