I remember reading about California back in the 1960s and 1970s. There were air quality reports on the news so that people with infants, asthma sufferers, and the aged would know not to go outside. There was this word on the news every single day in California. That word was "Smog."
The air was so bad in Cali, some people didn't know they lived near a huge mountain range for months after they initially moved to the area.
It was THAT bad.

If anything the EPA needs to be strengthened. But Bleached Cheeto sent orders that the EPA is not supposed to be talking about their work and their reports anymore. This should scare you. Cheeto is silencing an agency that has a real function. I figure these are the next steps.
1. Stop the EPA from publishing.
2. Tell the satan-ettes that the EPA isn't doing anything but taking their tax dollars -- which looks true because nothing is being published
3. Weaken or destroy the agency's ability to function at every turn.
4. Those being regulated increase profits by cutting safety corners that the EPA used to enforce.
6. Either the EPA will be blamed or Individual companies are blamed for individual scattered illnesses that are linked to poor water quality or poor air quality.
7. Either the EPA or individual companies are blamed for the subsequent deaths of infants, toddlers and old people (the weakest among us.)
8. Large death toll event = EPA is blamed and destroyed if hasn't been destroyed already. Maybe a new just as weak agency with new acronym is created -- so that we can pretend something is resolved. This death event is treated as a one-off
