I've been writing on Korryn Gaines for days. Something else that doesn't make sense comes up every day.
But the thing I'm wondering about most right now is how the day she was killed started out for the police officers and/or the prosecutor and/or the judge.
I want to know if they giggled to themselves as they set Korryn Gaines's death in motion.
Not that I think they went there intending to kill her. They probably didn't care one way or the other. We're not human to so many of them. But they must have though what they were about to do to her was funny as hell
Think about it.
The police were sent to
TO ARREST A BLACK WOMAN
for resisting arrest
an arrest that was really based on
talking a whole bunch of
BLACK-LIVES-MATTER SMACK
which snowballs into her not showing up for her court hearing
AND ALSO PLAN TO ARREST AT THE SAME TIME
her boyfriend
for hitting her
because she called the police
when she desperately needed help
during a domestic violence episode.
From a white-racism and only-blue-lives-matter point of view it must have been a gut buster to leave the man who beat her up in her house for days, weeks, or months, UNTIL they decide to arrest her for not showing up for her court date.
I wonder if they smirked when thinking about the possibility of leaving the children with child protective services?
Arresting them both at the same time must have seemed like the greatest idea ever, must have seemed like a win against a poor black woman with no real defense except her mouth....who told officers to go jump with her Black Lives Matter mouth during an arrest in March
Having a police badge must be a riot when you're white, blue, and always right.

Korryn Gaines was bum rushed to her death because cops specifically do not like black people and all Americans, even black ones, do not like poor people very much. And all of those car issues that Gaines had during March were poor people dilemmas with a side helping of her developmental disabilities likely brought on by lead poisoning.
We all need to keep these things clear in our heads if we're going to keep Black Lives Matter whole and relevant.

Nothing that happened to Korryn Gaines is really about Korryn Gaines.
Her death is not about how respectable she was or wasn't. Her death isn't even about how violent she was or wasn't in her final moments - not even if she was more violent than any of the eight white people who have waved guns at cops and lived to tell the story over the last few years.

But we may never really know what happened exactly because the police went out of their way to make sure there is no video evidence.
Korryn was trying to make sure the truth was out there. She had her facebook feed running. But the police turned that off and turned off their body cameras too, somehow.
